Un’organizzazione criminale internazionale prende di mira miliardari appassionati di sport estremi e li fa sposare con bellissime
modelle senza scrupoli, per poi ucciderli e impossessarsi delle loro ricchezze. A fermare questi malfattori c’è Neutron, alias Philip
Rembrandt, un critico d’arte dotato del potere di paralizzare esseri viventi e bloccare macchine con la sola forza dello sguardo.
Giunto all’autodromo di Monza per salvare la vita a un giovane e ricco pilota americano, Rembrandt conosce Valentina Rosselli,
una splendida ragazza milanese dai capelli neri a caschetto e con la passione per la fotografia, l’arte e le macchine veloci.
Tra i due si instaura subito un rapporto libero e coinvolgente, passionale e al tempo stesso giocoso, che esce dagli schemi del
tradizionale rapporto di coppia.
Spregiudicata, curiosa, intellettuale, in questa prima storia Valentina vive in piena libertà avventure a cavallo tra sogno e realtà
nella Milano degli anni ‘60. Una Milano che Crepax amava e conosceva molto bene, descrivendone con cura i particolari
e il tessuto sociale: con i suoi intellettuali, gli artisti, gli architetti, i locali notturni e i salotti della borghesia. In quel mondo
e in quegli anni, Valentina divenne ben presto un simbolo della rivoluzione sessuale e culturale in atto, oltre che una delle
icone più affascinanti del fumetto mondiale.
A story between dream and reality
An international criminal organization makes billionaires, keen on unlimited sports, the object of its attacks and makes them marry
with beautiful models of no scruples, to kill subsequently them and get hold of their riches. Who stops these evil – doers is Neutron,
alias Philip Rembrandt, a critic of art with the power to paralyze living beings and to block cars by the only force of his look.
When he arrives at the Monza Motodrome to save a young and rich American driver’s life, Rembrandt knows Valentina Rosselli,
a beautiful girl from Milan with short black hair and with the passion for the photograph, for the art and fast cars.
It begins immediately a free and involving relation between them, with passion and gay at the same time, out of models of the
traditional love affair.
Unscrupulous, curious, intellectual, Valentina in this first story lives freely adventures between dream and reality in the Milan
in the sixties.
Crepax loved and well known Milano, he described with great care its particulars and the social tissue: with its intellectuals,
artists, architects, night-clubs and drawing-rooms of the middle-class. Valentina, in that world and in those years, became
very early a symbol of the sexual and cultural revolution was being made, besides the one of the most charming icon of the
world comics.
