TROUBLESHOOTINGPROBLEM LOOK FOR REMEDYFree-Hand TM control is ACTIVE. Release both auger control and traction/Free-Hand TM control levers to stop auger.Auger drive belt out of Adjust auger belt.adjustment.Auger does not stop within5 seconds after rightcontrol lever is released.Discharge chute ordeflector does not work(electric).Discharge chute ordeflector does not work(remote-manual).Drive fails to move snowthrowerat slow speeds.Engine fails to start.Engine starts hard or runspoorly.Excessive vibration.Snowthrower does not stopwhen traction control leveris released.Snowthrower veers to oneside.Auger belt guide out ofadjustment.Electrical failure.Discharge chute or deflector outof adjustment or needslubrication.Traction control out ofadjustment.Key is off.Failure to prime a cold engine.Fuel shut-off valve is inCLOSED position.Out of fuel.Choke OFF - cold engine.Engine flooded.No spark.Water in fuel, or old fuel.Fuel mixture too rich.Spark plug faulty, fouled, orgapped improperly.Fuel cap vent is blocked.Loose parts or damagedimpeller/auger.Traction control out ofadjustment.Tire pressure not equal.One wheel is set in freewheelingmode. (Traction lockpin is in the OUTER hole.)Adjust auger belt guide.See authorized dealer.Adjust and/or lubricate control linkage.Readjust drive, or select speed lever setting one speed faster.Push key in to the ON position.Press primer button twice and restart.Turn valve to OPEN position.Fill fuel tank.Turn choke ON, set throttle to FAST.Turn choke to OFF; try starting.Check gap. Gap spark plug, clean electrode, or replace plug as necessary.Drain tank. (Dispose of fuel at an authorized hazardous waste facility.) Fill withfresh fuel.Move choke to OFF position.Clean and gap spark plug, or replace.Clear vent.Stop engine immediately. Tighten all hardware. If vibration continues, have the unitserviced by an authorized dealer.Adjust traction control linkage.Check tire pressure.Make sure the left traction lock pin is in the INNER holes (to engage the tractiondrive).29
