Socket graft procedure using socket liftersDrilling is conducted to leave 1-1.5mm of bone at the maxillarysinus floor. If the depth gaugecan be inserted without any resistance, verify that the Schneider membranehas not been perforated by taking an x-ray and checking for the presenceor absence of perforation. If perforation is observed, stop the surgery, andwait for the site to heal.
