But the perception is never univocal and involves our whole being. My thesis is based on the concept of synesthetic experience and it begins with the friendship with a blind woman and the rediscovery of everyday perception, beyond the world of the image. This visual report is born with the aim of rediscovering the sensory and its multiple possibilities of expression. The research start off with the interpretation cycle, the perception theory and the meaning of stimulus or emotion and how humans can react to these pulses indoors and outdoors.

Decompressione. Questa fase viene chiamata di
decompressione, proprio perchè viene chiesto ai partecipanti,
di passare da uno stato di limbo percettivo ad un brusco
ritorno al reale, dove viene chiesto un’immagine visiva per
definire l’esperienza con gli altri sensi.Chiedo ai partecipanti
di provare a disegnare, segnare o scarabocchiare quello
che si è provato durante l’esperimento, con l’utilizzo del
materiale a loro disposizione.Per aiutarli nel compito, che
non è affatto semplice, fornisco loro una struttura prestabilita
all’interno della quale potranno esprimere graficamente
e bidimensionalmente le varie tipologie di sensazioni. Per
la prova olfatto/gusto munisco loro di pennarello nero a
punta sottile e foglio bianco, bendati dovranno cercare di
rappresentare in maniera astratta la sensazione provata. Per
la prova tatto/gusto invece aiuto i partecipanti con uno schema
già utilizzato da Dina Riccò
Risultati. I segni all’interno della struttura, prodotti dai
partecipanti, sono la traduzione grafica di percezioni
sensoriali.Si cercheranno infine dei comuni denominatori
nelle rappresentazioni prodotte, accostandole a seconda del
materiale percepito ei nbase a: forza espressiva, modulo
dei segni, forme, scelta del colore e intensità.In sostanza il
conflitto fra dati sensoriali si risolve con un compromesso
in cui ciascuno di noi presenta un modo preferenziale di
percezione. Lo scopo dell’esperimento sarà quello di scovare
dei tratti comuni nei diversi comportamenti sinestetici. I
risultati prodotti porteranno a relazionare la percezione
con la loro rappresentazione, sia segnica che cromatica.
La somiglianza o la diversità delle risoste porterà infine a e
scelte precise.
