Former First Lady Michelle Obama was planning a visit to London where she would meet Prince George, Princess Charlotte and the royal family of Cambridge. Mrs. Obama wanted to gift Prince George with an American-made wagon. A Berlin Flyer Pee-Wee Wagon was prepared and sent over for the royal family to receive.” The firm also completed an order for Doggo Ramps, a bed ramp specially made for dogs. The ramps were promoted by Crusoe, the celebrity dachshund. Crusoe has a large following of fans, with nearly 800,000 followers on Instagram. The controls for the stacker were installed by MOCO. Controls for the sorting program were built by Robin Mathews. The sorting line was originally built by Hemco. This equipment was purchased at auction and was rebuilt by MOCO with help from a Kane team in-house. Hammond put the newly installed equipment in perspective. “It is taking the production that we get out of the sawmill and improving those efficiencies, giving us diversification from a marketing standpoint and then giving us some cost savings to help our bottom line.” Paul Eastman, mill superintendent, manages the work done with the sorter-stacker combination.
