Additional photos on pages 12, 14 & 16 Kelowna, BC-The Western Red Cedar Lumber Association (WRCLA) recently welcomed members and guests to its 65th Cedar Summit, which was held this year at Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort At this event, the WRCLA gave a presentation about how the Western Red Cedar (WRC) industry has undergone massive changes over the last 65 years, from changes in fiber supply, trade sanctions and distribution shifts to the most recent threat, the proliferation of non-wood competitors. WRCLA Managing Director Jack Draper addressed the need to engage broader industry involvement to fight this non-wood battle.
