Headlining the opening afternoon presentation was guest speaker Pete Mate, president and co-owner of Planit Canada Inc., which has multiple offi ces in Canada. His topic at the CHB meeting focused on the future of hardwood in the kitchen cabinet industry. Mate has been involved in the woodworking industry since 1999. According to a statement from the CHB, part of Mate’s overall professional focus is related to ongoing research into future innovations to provide the Canadian woodworking industry with premium software tools for WWPA Members Hear Forecast For Industry At Annual Meeting Portland, Oregon–The Western Wood Products Association (WWPA) recently held its annual meeting here at the Embassy Suites by Hilton. The meeting included numerous business and informational sessions along with networking opportunities.
