BUENA VISTA, GA–Oakcrest Lumber Inc., headquartered here, has recently completed upgrades to its Newport, TN, operation. The upgrades included the construction of a new Hardwood just over .5 million. The plant is located in the Reidtown, TN, community, just outside of Newport. Up to 25 new jobs will be Roland Weaver added as a result of the expansion, which was made possible in part by tax abatements offered by the city.
