The event was open to all present at the show, including importers, distributors and the media. “The goal was to put forward our flagship brands present at the show, including Marie Brizard liqueurs, Gautier Cognac, and Sobieski Estate Vodka, and one of the cocktails uses Moncigale Côtes de Provence Rosé wine,” says Josette Morieux, Cultural Heritage Director Group – Marie Brizard Wine and Spirits France. “The idea was to make a buzz… to create some movement rather than have a ‘static’ stand.” Four cocktails were concocted by Stéphane Levan, general manager and barman of the Honi Honi Tiki Cocktail Lounge in Hong Kong – recognised as one of the 50 top bars in Asia: Misty Spice – a double-layered cocktail based on Sobieski Estate Vodka, with both apple and lime juice, and leveraging Marie Brizard vanilla syrup as well as essences of spice-mix and cinnamon; Marie Love – with Marie Brizard Parfait Amour Liqueur, rosé wine and tonic water; Framboisette – with Marie Brizard Framboise Liqueur and Anisette, Gin, limejuice, and a top up of Champagne; And Rickshaw – including Gautier VSOP Cognac, Marie Brizard Apricot Brandy Liqueur, and Marie Brizard Tea Essence and Ginger Essence. Meanwhile, Ms Morieux tells Vinexpo Daily that the marketing crew at Marie Brizard is currently working on re-boosting the brand’s key visual, concept and logo: “On 16 th June this year, our marketing team will conclude its work and we will be able to present the new logo and concept, all based on Marie Brizard 1755 – with its historic connotations… and the woman, with a great deal of audacity and elegance, who has been in existence for 260 years” • Level 3, Stand MN-70 4 VINEXPO DAILY / DAY 3 / THURSDAY 26 TH MAY 2016

NEWS Hong Kong Top Asian Sales Hub Accolade Wines leverages Vinexpo HK to promote “One Stop Shop” strategy Founded by Thomas Hardy in the mid 19 th Century in Adelaide, Australia, Accolade Wines do a lot of business in Australia and the UK, but distribution is evolving constantly on a global scale. We asked Grant Viney, Accolade’s General Manager for Asia, what his company’s ambitions are in this respect. Australia and the UK represent our largest individual markets. This said, Hardys alone is distributed in more than 130 countries across all continents, so we already have significant reach beyond these two markets. Hardys also has a very strong foothold in Asia and continues to grow each year. Accolade has a stated mission to be the leading supplier of New World wines across the globe. We have significant distribution of our Australian, South African, New Zealand and American portfolio here in Asia and beyond. There is also a great deal of excitement for our future in the Chilean category with the purchase of Vina Anakena in September last year. Anakena has a small yet solid footprint in Asia, and we are moving to expand our offer to cater for a wider range of consumer groups and distribution channels. What’s new from Accolade this year at Vinexpo HK? Accolade has gradually shifted our centre of gravity in Asia, with Hong Kong now being our most significant sales hub in the region. Previously, Accolade has not exhibited as the corporate entity, but instead seeded individual brands into the exhibition through industry group alliances. This year we are proud to showcase our portfolio under the Accolade banner. Existing and prospective partners will be able to see out total offer. This has changed significantly since the last Vinexpo Hong Kong, with the addition of Mud House Wines from New Zealand, Grant Burge Wines from Barossa Valley Australia, and of course Vina Anakena from Chile. What are your main goals at Vinexpo HK? We strongly believe in our “one stop shop” for New World Wines proposition, and with the opportunity to engage with our current and potential business partners, we will show that partnering with Accolade creates efficiencies for their category. How important is Vinexpo HK for you as part of your marketing programme in Asia? Each and every year there is constant pressure to get the marketing mix right in the region. Vinexpo Hong Kong has been identified as a major event that Accolade will support this year, and we look forward to seeing the benefits that will flow from this • Level 1, Stand AB-75 EACH AND EVERY YEAR THERE IS CONSTANT PRESSURE TO GET THE MARKETING MIX RIGHT IN THE REGION.
