HEALTH ATTESTATION

the official veterinary authority of the Republic of South Africa, certify that the horse semen described in
section A:
1. was collected from donors residing at recognised studs, free from veterinary restrictions.
2. The donor stallions:
2,1 Were kept on site at the stud concerned for a period of at least 6 months prior to collection of
the semen and that during that time no cases of dourine were reported.
2.2 Were tested for dourine with negative results within two months prior to collection of semen
2.3 At the time of semen collection, the donor stallion was in possession of a valid Contagious Equine
Metritis (CEM) clearance certificate (not older than 6 months) from the Equine Research
Centre, University of Pretoria
2.4 Were examined by a veterinarian within 21 days of semen collection and found to be clinically
healthy and free from communicable diseases to which the species is susceptible.
3. The consignment was adequately, securely and hygienically packed in clean containers, and the
