Wat Verder Ter Tafel Komt
It is already my fourth month since I arrived in the Netherlands. Also this is
my first time to leave China. Living in this beautiful land surrounding by
lovely tulips and golden leaves, happiness and tears flash through my mind.
Some stories I would like to share with my Dutch friend and future buddies
from China…
The Beginning of my life in the Netherlands
It is the first time I study abroad and everything is new to me. Sometimes I
also have some difficulties in finding all the resources I need. But I really
appreciate my neighbor’s help in the beginning of my life here. My
neighbor is an old lady. The first time we met she gave me some clothes
hangers and also showed me how to hang clothes here, which is quite
different from China.
Sometimes we also discuss about the food and culture here. She taught me
how to cook potato and other traditional Dutch food, in return, I told her
about Chinese tea culture, including how to select tea, what kind of water is
best and why we don’t use sugar and milk, etc. I feel more confident in my
staying here.
