38th INTERNATIONAL TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT

Eindhoven, January 29, 2013
Once again, the Eindhoven Student Table Tennis Club TAVERES organizes an International
Student Table Tennis Tournament and as in the past 37 tournaments any student may enter.
This biggest student table tennis tournament of Europe is a high level tournament, but it also
offers possibilities for recreational players. This tournament offers besides top table tennis also
a great deal of sociability. This unique combination has guaranteed a successful tournament
for the past 37 years.
Invitations have been sent to universities all over Europe. The tournament will take place on
May 11 and 12, 2013. It will start on Saturday at 9.00 am and it will end Sunday afternoon
around 5.00 pm. We expect the participants to arrive on Friday evening between 8.00 pm and
11.00 pm. Although the tournament is primarily intended for students, it is also possible to
enter when you cannot compose a (university) team.
The tournament will be played at the students sports centre of the Eindhoven University of
Technology, O.L. Vrouwestraat 1 in Eindhoven. On Saturday there will be a men team
competition and a women team competition. The teams consist of two players. Saturday night
there will be a big party in the university student bar. On Sunday there will be both a men
individual competition and a women individual competition. You can also decide to play only
one day. It is also possible to be accompanied by some non-playing companions/coaches.
This year we are working with a digital entry system. You can register to the
tournament via the link itt.taveres.nl/enroll. Any changes to the team composition should be
timely reported to the organization via the email address itt2013@taveres.nl.
The entry fee is € 30 per player for both days, €17,50 per player for one day and € 17,50 per
companion/coach. This includes breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday and two
overnight stays. We don’t provide dinner. Both participants and companions/coaches will
spend the night in the sports centre, so please bring along your own sleeping bag and airbed or
foam mattress. If you don’t fancy this massive sleeping party, you may camp next to the sports
centre. Do bring your own tent.
The entry fees should be paid as soon as possible. Please pay by bank to ESTTV TAVERES in

Please note that any costs incurred in transferring the money are to be paid by you, not by us.
If you wish to use Western Union as payment method, you should note Martijn de Clerck as
the money receiver.

Your entry will not be accepted unless both payment and entry form have been received before
March 31, 2013.
Last year we reached the maximum number of participants. If you want to be sure of
participation, please fill in the digital entry form and pay the entry fee as soon as possible. As
long as we do not have your entry fee we cannot guarantee your place in the tournament.
Furthermore, there is an extra fee of €5,- per person for paying at the day of the tournament.
When the maximum number of participants has been reached we will have to reject the last
entries received. In case the maximum is reached, the entry fees paid will be refunded. The
entry fees will also be returned if we receive a check out before April 13, 2013. In all other cases
no money will be returned.
You will receive further information once the entry has been closed. There is no use in coming
