Uitwisseling
We have contact with Uganda.
We really like the letters from Uganda.
Here are some reactions from the class when we got the first
letters back:
They can draw really nice
They use other paper
They got a lot of brothers and sisters
They have the same sports
They don‟t got a inkeraser they use chalk.
They also don‟t got pets like us they got cows, chickens and goats.
We got dogs cats and goldfishes.
They also have 14 year old kids and 7 year old kids in the same class.
We got kids from 10 and 12 in the class.
Two kids of our class have contact with twins.
Also 1 child of that class hunts but on what? Our class doesn‟t hunt.
They write for example Dear Winkster instead of dear Stef.
In Holland we write first your first name and than the family or sirname.
They write I with a little letter i. They use other english.
Funny they use plus and not always and sometimes it is difficult to read. Many of us
use the computer for such a things.
It is very special to get a letter from another continent.
We don‟t understand everything they write, but also they‟ll have problems to understand us.
Our class is now busy with writing a letter back.
„Sharing schools‟ is a good idea, because the people are
sending the letters to Uganda and controle it.
We hope that the letters will reach Uganda and that they really like them.
We hope that we‟ll get a letter back and that we have contact for a really long time.
Nieuwsbrief in het Engels
Op de Adelbrecht-Windekind werken we in
groep 8 aan nieuwsbrieven die we opsturen
naar All Saints, onze partnerschool in
Oeganda. We schrijven over verschillende
thema‟s, zoals bijvoorbeeld de dijken in Nederland,
het klimaat en over onze hobby‟s.
Soms maken we nog best veel foutjes in het
Engels, maar meneer Marc zegt dat dat niet
uitmaakt. Je moet het durven.
We hebben in groep 6 ook al brieven naar Oeganda
gestuurd en een tijdje later kregen we
brieven terug. Wij hadden zelfs penvrienden
in groep 6, Akankwasa heette een penvriend.
Het was heel leuk om steeds weer een brief te
schrijven en te ontvangen. Het was wel moeilijk
om in een andere taal te schrijven, maar
het lukte wel. De kinderen in Afrika konden
héél mooi tekenen. Wij vonden het heel leuk
om brieven te sturen. De kinderen uit Oeganda
vertelden ook over het leven bij hun op
school en het was ook nog eens goed voor
ons Engels. We kregen ook een filmpje die
ging over onze partnerschool en Oeganda
zelf. We gaan zo lekker door.
