Ministers also benefitfrom technical inputs and expertise fromregional and international organizations at theForum such as the Caribbean Community (CA-RICOM), the Caribbean Community ClimateChange Centre (CCCCC), the Caribbean DevelopmentBank (CDB), The <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> theWest Indies (UWI), the Pan American HealthOrganization (PAHO), the German Agency forInternational Cooperation (GIZ), among otheragencies.Steering committee meeting <strong>of</strong> GWP-C, October 3, 2012, Bahamas.During this HLS, presentations were given about: Energy for water and water for energy, Sustainableenergy options for the water sector, Climate change implications for water, Updates on regional waterresources management initiatives in the Caribbean. After these presentations, the ministerial panel discussionfollowed, and at the end <strong>of</strong> this meeting, a <strong>de</strong>clarations was signed by the Ministers present. Thismeeting was atten<strong>de</strong>d by R. Nurmohamed (vice-chairman <strong>of</strong> GWP-C). Sponsorship to attend the abovemeetings was ma<strong>de</strong> available by GWPO (Swe<strong>de</strong>n), GWP-C (Caribbean), <strong>A<strong>de</strong>KUS</strong>-Dept. Infrastructureand VLIR-<strong>A<strong>de</strong>KUS</strong>-IUC (<strong>Suriname</strong>). Caribbean Ministers with responsibility for water resources management are seen here signing a Declaration endorsing key recommendations for addressingregional water security at the 8th High Level Session Ministerial Forum convened by the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) and its partner theCaribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) on October 5th, 2012 in The Bahamas.GWP-C was established in 2004 and works to support Caribbean countries in the sustainable management <strong>of</strong> their waterresources by fostering an integrated water resources management IWRM approach at the community, national and regionallevels. <strong>A<strong>de</strong>KUS</strong> (Dept.
