“We zien dat families steeds meer behoefte

hebben aan onafhankelijke advisering, over

de verschillende generaties heen. Vroeger

werd de familienotaris of accountant veelal

gezien als dé vertrouwenspersoon. Wij

zien echter een toenemende vraag naar een

breder palet aan kennis en diensten en met

deze vragen komen families bij ons. Families

worden internationaler, de jongere generatie

spreidt zijn vleugels uit over de wereld. Hierdoor

komen vraagstukken naar boven die

extra aandacht behoeven. De wet en regelgeving

waar families mee te maken hebben

is complex. We besteden hier veel aandacht

aan. Anonimiteit en privacy zijn voor veel families

essentieel. De kring van mensen die op

de hoogte zijn van het vermogen willen ze zo

klein mogelijk houden. Om die reden beschikken

wij als family office over een trustvergunning

om privacy voor families te kunnen

waarborgen.”

C a n y o u g i v e s o m e c o n c r e t e e x a m p l e s ?

“We have clients who want to invest part of

their assets in real estate, but they do not

want it to be visible to the outside world.

Then we can act as a director in their real

estate entity. In this role, we supervise the

purchase or sale of real estate, we have contact

with tenants and banks, we arrange the

necessary insurance and we unburden the

families. We also serve clients who are still

in the possession of an active company, of

which we manage their private holdings, private

planes and even private accounting. A

house abroad may also bring about a lot of

work and concern. We coordinate everything

with local advisors, have contact with potential

staff and ensure that everything runs

smoothly.”

W h at a r e y o u r e x p e c tat i o n s f o r t h e f u t u r e ?

“We see that families are more and more

in need of independent advice, across generations.

In the past, the family notary or

accountant was often seen as the ultimate

trusted person. However, we now see an increasing

demand for a wider range of knowledge

and services. Families who are facing

these questions come to us. Families are

becoming more international, the younger

generation is spreading its wings all around

the world. This raises issues that require

extra attention. The laws and regulations

that families have to deal with are complex.

We pay a lot of attention to this. Anonymity

and privacy are essential for many families.

They want to keep the circle of people who

are aware of the assets as small as possible.

For that reason, we as a family office have a

trust permit which means the families’ privacy

is guaranteed.”
