De ISHA heeft voor haar jaarlijkse
conferentie een ambitieus programma
samengesteld waarin milieugeschiedenis
- breed opgevat - veel
ruimte krijgt toegemeten. De korte
workshopbeschrijving geeft aan hoe
moeilijk de grenzen van het wetenschapsgebied
te trekken zijn.
Short Workshop Description
Human life was and is infl uenced
by nature, just as human action
changes nature. Purpose of our congress
is to understand the interaction
between people and nature in a
historical perspective.
Environment as a part of our history
is often neglected and left to
the natural sciences. Our conference
will demonstrate that historic
events cannot be adequately addressed
without considering the conditions
in which they took place.
