De ISHA heeft voor haar jaarlijkse<br />
conferentie een ambitieus programma<br />
samengesteld waarin milieugeschie<strong>den</strong>is<br />
- breed opgevat - veel<br />
ruimte krijgt toegemeten. De korte<br />
workshopbeschrijving geeft aan hoe<br />
moeilijk de grenzen <strong>van</strong> het wetenschapsgebied<br />
te trekken zijn.<br />
Short Workshop Description<br />
Human life was and is infl uenced<br />
by nature, just as human action<br />
changes nature. Purpose of our congress<br />
is to understand the interaction<br />
between people and nature in a<br />
historical perspective.<br />
Environment as a part of our history<br />
is often neglected and left to<br />
the natural sciences. Our conference<br />
will demonstrate that historic<br />
events cannot be adequately addressed<br />
without considering the conditions<br />
in which they took place.<br />
