To avoid overfilling the jug, the max level should be 0,8 liter. Use the level indicator on the
jug for reference. Place lid and inner cover on the jug before start. Check that the switch is in
“0” position and then plug the appliance. Turn the switch to desired setting for a few seconds.
Then turn back to “0” and check the consistency. The blender works fast so do not mix for too
long. The pilot lamp will shine during use.
Use pulse function (P) for shorter mixings. The switch must be kept in pulse position for the
blender to work. If you let go, the blender will turn off.
Precautions to be taken when using warm liquids
The glass jug is resistant to warm ingredients such as warm liquids or soups. When warm
liquids are poured into a closed container (such as a blender jug with lid) it will automatically
create high pressure. Consequently, there is a risk that the lid is pushed off under use and
that the warm liquid splashes out. In order to prevent this, proceed as follows:
1. The temperature of the liquid used in the blender must not exceed 50 °C
2. Fill maximum half the jug with the ingredients (such as vegetables, root vegetables
etc.).
3. Start the blender (not Pulse level) and add the liquid slowly (hot bouillon, cream or
similar) through the hole in the black lid. Do not turn off the blender during this process.
If the blender is switched off with warm liquid inside and then restarted, there will be a
pressure from the bottom, due to the high rotation speed of the motor, which pressure
may cause the lid to be blast off.
If the blender has been switched off with warm liquid anyway during the above process, and
shall be started again, keep a pressure by placing a hand on top of the lid using a towel, a
pot-holder or similar, and watch out for possible splash of warm liquid. Never blend warm
water alone, as the pressure inside the jug will be too high.
IMPORTANT! If frozen ingredients (such as fruit, berries or vegetables) shall be mixed,
this shall be done immediately after the ingredients have been put into the jug. If not,
they will freeze to a firm lump. This may block the knife during use. Pour some more fluid
into the jug before starting the appliance.
It is possible to add more ingredients or fluid during use, but turn off the appliance first before
removing the lid or inner cover. Make sure that the ingredients to be added are not too heavy
for the motor to operate. Add some fluid to help the motor or stop the process and scrape the
ingredients from the jug with a spatula.
Make sure that both lid and inner cover is placed on the jug before
starting the appliance!
If you want to crush ice you should start with a small amount (max 5-8 cubes). Also add a small
amount of water to the jug before starting the appliance. Use the pulse function until you get the
result you want.
