IMPORTANT! Cleaning of the jug upon blending of frozen berries or ice cubes shall be<br />
done in tepid water, becau<strong>se</strong> the blending has cooled down the glass jug and becau<strong>se</strong><br />
too hot water may cau<strong>se</strong> tensions in the glass that may break.<br />
Cleaning and maintenance<br />
Wash jug, lid and inner cover in water and some detergent after each u<strong>se</strong>. Dry well before<br />
storage. The parts are not dishwasher proof. Do not u<strong>se</strong> abrasive detergents that may<br />
damage the surface. Any congealed residues can be removed with a mild detergent and a<br />
soft dish washing brush. U<strong>se</strong> a damp cloth for cleaning of the housing. Let the housing dry<br />
well before next u<strong>se</strong> or before storage.<br />
IMPORTANT! THE MOTOR UNIT SHOULD NEVER BE IMMERSED INTO WATER OR<br />
ANY OTHER LIQUID!<br />
Safety instructions<br />
1. Read the instruction manual carefully before u<strong>se</strong>, and save it for future u<strong>se</strong>.<br />
2. Plug the appliance to a hou<strong>se</strong>hold outlet of 230V only, and u<strong>se</strong> the appliance only for the<br />
intended u<strong>se</strong>.<br />
3. Always unplug the appliance from the mains supply when disorder is experienced, when<br />
not in u<strong>se</strong>, when parts are applied or removed from the appliance and before cleaning<br />
and maintenance.<br />
4. The appliance must not be immer<strong>se</strong>d into water or other liquids.<br />
5. This appliance is not intended for u<strong>se</strong> by persons (including children) with reduced<br />
physical, <strong>se</strong>nsory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless<br />
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the u<strong>se</strong> of the appliance by<br />
a person responsible for their safety.<br />
6. Children should be supervi<strong>se</strong>d to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.<br />
Children are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible<br />
handling of electrical appliances.<br />
7. Check that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the table.<br />
8. Do not place the kettle on or near hotplates, open fire or the like.<br />
9. The appliance should only be u<strong>se</strong>d under supervision.<br />
10. The appliance should be handled with care, as the knife is very sharp! Do not<br />
touch the knife while it is operating. Be careful that neither fingers nor accessories<br />
get into contact with the knife!<br />
11. Always examine appliance, cord and plug for damage before u<strong>se</strong>. If the supply cord is<br />
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, or his <strong>se</strong>rvice agent or a similarly<br />
qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.<br />
12. The electrical installation must comply with the pre<strong>se</strong>nt legislation concerning additional<br />
protection in the form of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating<br />
current not exceeding 30 mA). Check with your installer.<br />
13. The appliance is for domestic u<strong>se</strong> only.<br />
14. If the appliance is u<strong>se</strong>d for other purpo<strong>se</strong>s than intended, or is it not handled in accordance<br />
with the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any con<strong>se</strong>quences will rest with the<br />
u<strong>se</strong>r. Any damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty.<br />
