Danger!<br />

The springs are tensioned. Serious<br />

injury may result if the<br />

door leaps open or the springs<br />

jump out.<br />

– Securely support the door leaf<br />

by its springs during work.<br />

– Take care when working on<br />

the springs and carry out this<br />

work only when the door is<br />

open (springs not under tension)<br />

and supported.<br />

– Never use more than one<br />

spring on each side unless the<br />

door is boarded.<br />

– On Variant doors without<br />

linings the springs are set at<br />

the factory for a lining weight<br />

of 8 kg/m 2 . ON doors with a<br />

width of up to 3 m the spring<br />

packets are not prestressed<br />

and must be adjusted to the<br />

actual lining weight.<br />

– It is essential to observe the<br />

maximum hinge weight on<br />

lined doors (Section 5.1).<br />

– Keep the door swing area inside<br />

and outside the door<br />

clear until the spring tension<br />

has been set and tested (Section<br />

6.1).<br />

Caution!<br />

Danger of injury by the up and<br />

over door falling over and when<br />

handling tools and machines.<br />

– Securely support an unattached<br />

door.<br />

– Observe the relevant health<br />

and safety regulations.<br />

– Never work alone. At least<br />

two people are required for<br />

the installation work.<br />

– Keep children away during<br />

installation.<br />

– Keep the swing areas on the<br />

inside and the outside clear<br />

when opening and closing the<br />

Protect the door against corrosive<br />

and aggressive materials and components<br />

(e. g. salt, mortar, aggressive<br />

coatings or sealing components).<br />

Ensure regular maintenance.<br />

1.4 Storage<br />

Keep the up and over door in an<br />

enclosed, dry room before its installation.<br />

1.5 Transport<br />

The up and over door is generally<br />

delivery completely assembled.<br />

Caution!<br />

Danger of injury when moving<br />

the door from sharp edges.<br />

– Wear gloves!<br />

At least two people are required to<br />

transport the door at the installation<br />

site, depending on the site of<br />

the up and over door.<br />

1.6 Packaging<br />

Only reusable materials are used.<br />

Dispose of the packaging in compliance<br />

with statutory regulations<br />

using the local facilities.<br />
