The springs are tensioned. Serious
injury may result if the
door leaps open or the springs
jump out.
– Securely support the door leaf
by its springs during work.
– Take care when working on
the springs and carry out this
work only when the door is
open (springs not under tension)
and supported.
– Never use more than one
spring on each side unless the
door is boarded.
– On Variant doors without
linings the springs are set at
the factory for a lining weight
of 8 kg/m 2 . ON doors with a
width of up to 3 m the spring
packets are not prestressed
and must be adjusted to the
actual lining weight.
– It is essential to observe the
maximum hinge weight on
lined doors (Section 5.1).
– Keep the door swing area inside
and outside the door
clear until the spring tension
has been set and tested (Section
6.1).

Danger of injury by the up and
over door falling over and when
handling tools and machines.
– Securely support an unattached
door.
– Observe the relevant health
and safety regulations.
– Never work alone. At least
two people are required for
the installation work.
– Keep children away during
installation.

when opening and closing the
door.

Protect the door against corrosive
and aggressive materials and components
(e. g. salt, mortar, aggressive
coatings or sealing components).
Ensure regular maintenance.
1.4 Storage
Keep the up and over door in an
enclosed, dry room before its installation.
1.5 Transport
The up and over door is generally
delivery completely assembled.
Caution!
Danger of injury when moving
the door from sharp edges.
– Wear gloves!
At least two people are required to
transport the door at the installation
site, depending on the site of
the up and over door.
1.6 Packaging
Only reusable materials are used.
Dispose of the packaging in compliance
with statutory regulations
using the local facilities.
