Airbus 380.
MESSAGE FROM bR
On the route of the
green economy
Committed to the concept of sustainable development on its ventures,
Petrobras Distributor is expanding the Aeroporto Verde (Green Airport)
Project, which combines trading of aviation products to the use of ecoeffi
cient technology.
With a specifi c infrastructure that encompasses deployments to
use rain water, LED lighting, as well as a photovoltaic solar energy
system, the Project is fostering the culture of intelligent and sustainable
consumption in the aviation sector. Present at BR Aviation units on
the Terravista and Porto Seguro airports, the Project allows for energy
savings of up to 60% and self-suffi ciency in watching supply units, or
even client aircrafts serviced at the BR Aviation Center, and that is just
to mention a few socioenvironmental benefi ts.
Another new feature is the expansion of the partnership with big
companies: Azul Airlines and the HRT Group have extended the
contract term so that BR is the exclusive product supplier until 2015,
which represents a solid relationship that can only grow.
Another outstanding aspect in this issue is the supply by BR Aviation
of the largest commercial passenger aircraft in the world, Airbus 380.
Stopping in Brazil as part of its world tour promoted by Airbus, the
aircraft used Petrobras’ fuel to fl y from São Paulo to the next stop,
Buenos Aires, Argentina. An important milestone that reinforces the
trust, by big companies, on the quality of products and services at BR.
Have a nice reading.
Comprometida com a ecoefi ciência em seus
negócios, a Petrobras Distribuidora está expandindo
iniciativas socioambientais também
no segmento de aviação. O programa Aeroporto
O aeroporto
sócios do empreendimento Carlos Eduardo Regis
Aeroporto Verde (Green Airport) Project, which
combines trading of aviation products to the use of
eco-effi cient technology in airports, has a new unit,
this time in Trancoso, Bahia.
Terravista Complex was chosen by BR to start
the project expansion. Since March, the airport in
Bahia has a BR Aviation Center and an Aircrafts
the Green Airport.
The executive manager of Aviation Products,
Francelino da Silva Paes, the responsible for
operation in the airport Cláudio Alves and the project
members, Carlos Eduardo Regis Bittencourt, Carlo
Lovatelli e Reinold Geiger were present in the
opening ceremony in Terravista.
According to the executive manager of
Aviation Products, Francelino da Silva Paes, “This
desenvolvimento sustentável e responsabilidade
social.
A ideia é integrar
“Todas as precauções
bastante energia. A receptividade do público
ressalta Carlos Eduardo Regis Bittencourt.
Aeroporto Verde. Criado em 2009, passou por uma
reestruturação completa em 2011, assumindo as
diretrizes de sustentabilidade em sua infraestrutura.
development and social responsibility. We wish
that all society may adopt practices to preserve
the environment, thus increasing the quality of life
in our plant”.
This project is provided with all the technology
which is necessary for the reuse of water, solar
heating, among other eco-efficient functions.
The idea is increasingly integrating the intelligent
consumption to airports with BR’s presence. “All
precautions of the project become a different feature,
and the part which had more visibility was the use
of solar panels and hangar LED lightening, which
saves a lot of energy. The public received it very well
and the airport is getting a lot of compliments”, as
Carlos Eduardo Regis Bittencourt highlights.
Porto Seguro was the city that gave rise to the first
Filling Station in Green Airport project. It was created
in 2009, and went on a complete restructuring in
2011, undertaking sustainability directions in its
infrastructure. In December of the same year, it
reopened to public, and now uses the rainwater in
Distribuidora’s business in the segment. Azul
Linhas Aéreas extended until April the partnership for
another 36 months so that BR can continue to be the
exclusive provider of aviation fuel for the company’s
No ano passado, a Azul Linhas Aéreas cresceu
tripulantes. No evento de assinatura do contrato,
John Rodgerson salientou: “Nós fomos a primeira
