The main change in this edition of<br />

the Jewellery Design Preview<br />

is the incorporation of the costume<br />

jewelry segment as an incentive to<br />

entrepreneurs and designers of this area<br />

to increasingly take part in the project.<br />

By <strong>do</strong>ing this, we are encouraging the<br />

incorporation of creative design into<br />

costume jewelry which, as jewelry, has<br />

been playing an outstanding role in both<br />

the <strong>do</strong>mestic and international markets.<br />

Because of the significant presence<br />

of the costume jewelry companies at<br />

the five regional workshops, we have<br />

selected a number of photographs<br />

of their creations and are pleased<br />

to publish them in this <strong>do</strong>cument.<br />

with the aim of creating synergies<br />

and maximizing efforts in the phase<br />

of research and in the definition of<br />

inspiration sources, we once again<br />

invited the Integration Committee to<br />

attend, which is composed of experts<br />

in charge of similar projects in the<br />

trade associations that make up the<br />

Fashion System, such as ABEST, ABIT<br />

and ASSINTECAL, apart from Objeto<br />

Brasil, to which we are thankful.<br />

As in all previous years, during<br />

FENINJER an <strong>IBGM</strong> fashion and design<br />

consultant will lecture on the Preview<br />

and a jewelry exhibition will be held<br />

representing the five trends, taking<br />

advantage of the large number of<br />

retailers and journalists at the event.<br />

After the national launch, twelve<br />

events will be held in the States<br />

supported by Sebrae, to promote these<br />

trends more broadly, especially to<br />

retailers, the press, and consumers.<br />

It is important to mention that this<br />

publication constitutes an important<br />

tool for promotional activities abroad,<br />

strengthening the good image of<br />

Brazilian design, the main pillar of the<br />

strategy to expand Brazilian jewelry<br />

and costume jewelry in the international<br />

market. The pieces on display will be<br />

given extensive publicity in the actions<br />

to be carried out abroad under the<br />

umbrella of the Integrated Sectoral<br />

It is also worth reminding that this<br />

book is part of the full design promotion<br />

cycle - product research, development,<br />

manufacturing, and promotion - that<br />

has been developed by <strong>IBGM</strong> with the<br />

support of SEBRAE. we know that its<br />

dissemination will continue to play the<br />

role of contributing to the production<br />

of jewelry and costume jewelry with<br />

a creative and innovative differential,<br />

ensuring their competitiveness<br />

in Brazil and in the increasingly<br />

competitive international market.<br />
