Após a conclusão <strong>do</strong>s trabalhos <strong>da</strong> VIII Conferência Nacional <strong>de</strong> Saú<strong>de</strong> foi cria<strong>da</strong> a Comissão<br />
Nacional <strong>de</strong> Reforma Sanitária (CNRS), com o objetivo <strong>de</strong> analisar as dificul<strong>da</strong><strong>de</strong>s para o<br />
funcionamento <strong>do</strong>s serviços <strong>de</strong> saú<strong>de</strong> e sugerir opções para a nova estrutura <strong>do</strong> sistema. Pretendiase,<br />
ain<strong>da</strong>, examinar os instrumentos <strong>de</strong> articulação entre os po<strong>de</strong>res – União, esta<strong>do</strong>s e municípios<br />
– que atuam na área <strong>de</strong> saú<strong>de</strong> e propor seu aperfeiçoamento, apontan<strong>do</strong> mecanismos <strong>de</strong><br />
planejamento e ajustan<strong>do</strong>-os às necessi<strong>da</strong><strong>de</strong>s <strong>do</strong>s segmentos <strong>da</strong> população a ser atendi<strong>da</strong>.<br />
