de diminuir os custos, por exemplo, diminuindo
o número de placas dentro das baterias sem modificar
os valores declarados no rótulo. É neste sentido
que o LACTEC acredita que este processo de
acreditação vai tornar a concorrência mais honesta e
incentivar o real desenvolvimento da tecnologia em
beneficio de todos.
Foi com essa expectativa que o LACTEC iniciou
os testes de certificação, e para nossa (agradável)
surpresa, apesar de haver casos de baterias com desempenho
insuficiente, a maioria das baterias apresentou
um comportamento acima das expectativas e
na maior parte dos casos as baterias passaram pelos
testes sem problemas, sendo que em alguns casos
passaram com bastante folga.O fato da existência
destas folgas mostrou que ainda há necessidade de
ajustes no dimensionamento das baterias. É comum

With these expectations, the LACTEC began
the certification tests, and for our (wonderful) surprise,
despite the cases of batteries with insufficient
performance, most of the batteries behaved over
our expectations and in most of the cases the batteries
passed the tests without any problem and, in
some cases, they passed the test comfortably. Such
comfortability shows that there still is a need of adjustments
in the batteries’ sizing. It is very usual to
see a battery well sized to a test (for a regime capacity
of 20 hours of discharge) and, at the same
