ABSTRACT
This current work investigates some possible ideas on curriculum and language of
cinema in a constant dialogue with the experiences developed in the School of Cinema’s
CAp/UFRJ, offered as an extra-curricular proposal for the group of high school students.
The clipping of this research focused on three specific times: the first one brings the studies
of the National Curriculum Parameters (PCNs) of arts to high school and debate about the
theories of film trying to articulate them to an educational project in terms of theories of
curriculum. Beside these questions, were analysed importants contributions from the
teacher of Paris III and filmaker Alain Bergala, which was responsible for the project La
Mission between the years 2000 and 2005, and had for primary purpose the inclusion of
cinema as art in French public schools; following, some theories of cinema are showed,
particularly those who conceive it as substitute for looking and film as art, de Jacques
Aumont e Michel Marie, dialoguing with the thought of american theorist of cinema,
Robert Stam, around the studies of language identified in the works of Mikhail Bakhtin. To
dialogue with these ideas, bring even the French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard for his
valorization of “doing” in the act of learning cinema and for his recognition of the
cinemathèque as a central element of learning. All of this make his “pedagogy of creating”
a necessary reference; and, at the last moment, the field research from the records of the
classes of Film School, from the group of high school, in the CAp/UFRJ, during the
academic year 2008, with its analysis and final considerations.
