arrived from Sarwarthsidh Viman in the womb of queen Achla.
All god and goddesses prayed of Bhagwan "Prabhu ! all are adamant
in their own favout. Please save this world. Also, place your
hand of blessings on our heads".
As if the heavenly dreams were congratulating queen Achla.
Thereafter, Bhagwan arrived in the womb of queen Achla. Gradually,
the foetus grew.
During the period Bhagwam Shantinath was in the womb,
there was an epidemic in the kingdom of Maharaj Ashwasen.
One may ask the question, why did the epidemic spread
when bhagwan was in the womb But that was not a disease, it
was the darkness which depicts the brilliance of Usha period. As
there is night prior to Usha period, and the importance of Usha
period is recognised through this night, in the same manner an
epidemic was the night prior to the Usha period of Bhagwan
Shantinath. It was because of the removal of this that the title of
'Shantinath" was conferred on Bhagwan. Although, Bhagwan had
arrived in the womb and the epidemic should not have spread at
that time, even then after the spread of epidemic, it was extinguished
because of Bhagwan and this resulted in the spread of
praise of Bhagwan. This gave to the parents the notice of hisf
arrival as also of his importance.
The King got the news of the spread of the epidemic 'mari'.
On knowing that people are dying due to the disease mari, King
took several steps to overcome this disease, but did not succeed.
This mari was the trial of people. Whether or not people
were proceeding on the right path could be known through this.
This mari was a revolution prior to the peace.
King was very unhappy because epidemic could not be
overcome despite various steps. He thought "The subjects whom
I have served as a son, converted their ignorance into wisdom,
