joys of her husband but does not want to share worries, she cannot
be an ideal wife. Such wife is a sinner".
Is it not that what Achla Devi thought is the dharma of a
lady Certainly. But these days girls are given in their early childhood
education in the opposite direction. Girls have to be very
polite so that they can provide peace in their households, they
could be at peace with themselves and their family life is full of
pleasure.
There is a practice in Bikaner to dress girls in the attire of
boys. I fail to understand what advantage is there in doing so A
woman cannot become a man merely by wearing a dress of a
man. Perhaps, the parents of a girl think that by making her wear
the dress of a boy "We are fulfilling the feelings ofthe girl to have
been born as a boy". But they fail to appreciate, the harm this is
causing. To think of converting a girl into a boy, is equivalent to
fighting the nature. No body can fight nature and win against it.
The outcome of this is that the traditions of the girl get distorted.
Some do not understand the importance of childhood. They consider
childhood as worthless. But, the entire life of a child is built
on the life is spoilt and the child whose childhood is taken care of,
his entire life is reformed. Some poet had said-
Creepers and flowers are carved on the clay pot while it is
raw and these do not disappear when it is baked. But creepers
and flowers carved on a baked pot do not remain intact. This is
the same for the childhood. Therefore, from the point of view of
the development of life, childhood is very important. Parent must
understand from the core of their heart that the traditions of the
child, good or bad, would remain forever. If, from the very begining,
children are prevented from speaking foul and from consuming
undesirable food and drinks, they would turn out to be excellent
and their household life would be very happy, peaceful and contented.
