O Turismo Étnico engloba diretamente outros aspectos culturais além das festas e danças, como a gastronomia, os centros culturais, os museus e toda uma rede de relacionamentos formais ou informais que envolvem a comunidade local e, eventualmente, os turistas, inserindo-se, portanto, no que se pretende entender por sociedades democráticas, pluriétnicas e pluriculturais.
