January to June <strong>2022</strong>.<br />
The Ministry of Health was in the<br />
progress of creating the National Medical<br />
Radiology and Imaging Implementation<br />
Strategy for five years (<strong>2022</strong>-2026)<br />
which was signed officially to be used by<br />
Permanent Secretary MoHin July <strong>2022</strong>.<br />
The president of TARA, former TARA<br />
President, Secretary, Treasurer and<br />
other TARA members including another<br />
professional from the office of MRIPC,<br />
College institutions,<br />
and National and<br />
Referral Hospital<br />
institutions were<br />
participating regarding<br />
their experience and<br />
capacity voted by<br />
the organizing team<br />
from the Ministry of<br />
Health under Head of<br />
Radiology and Imaging<br />
Services Mr Gerald<br />
Mrema.<br />
Through these<br />
strategies, enhance the<br />
availability of CT-Scan<br />
to the whole Regional<br />
Referral Hospital,<br />
enhance the availability<br />
of x-ray machines from<br />
district level to health centers, increase<br />
human resources and employment<br />
opportunities for radiographers which in<br />
turn the improves the radiology services<br />
in Tanzania.<br />
June 3-13, <strong>2022</strong><br />
Afya Check of Clouds FM in partnership<br />
with the office of the Regional<br />
Commissioner has been conducting<br />
a free annual health check where the<br />
Tanzania Association of Radiographers in<br />
collaboration with Radtech Specialized<br />
Hospital was participating to provide free<br />
ultrasound screening.<br />
The campaign was done for all five local<br />
government authorities (Municipals) of<br />
Dare Salaam city and more than 2000<br />
people were screened.<br />
The campaign is planned to take in at<br />
Mwanzaon <strong>August</strong> 4, where TARA will be<br />
participating.<br />
June 6-11, <strong>2022</strong><br />
The Registrar of Medical Radiology and<br />
Imaging Professional Ms Catherine<br />
Semkudiwas conducting Supportive<br />
supervision at Kigomaand Taboratogether<br />
with amember of the council (General<br />
Secretary representing TARA-Omary<br />
Msehwa) and Mr Euniace Bandio.<br />
The registrar uses the opportunity<br />
to remind the radiographers to do<br />
their daily activities regarding the<br />
ethics and code of conducting<br />
professional. Also, TARA uses that<br />
opportunity to make awareness to<br />
our members to be active and<br />
participate in the seminar prepared<br />
by TARA for professional development.<br />
