Uma mulher em crise com ex–marido leva o filho adolescente
para uma entrevista de trabalho nas montanhas. Tem de a fazer
para conservar o emprego. O entrevistado é um homem
que vive isolado que acabou de ganhar a lotaria. Muito
estranhamente, o homem não quer fazer a entrevista nem
receber o dinheiro. Uma muito intrigante história, escrita pelo
realizador, que nos apresenta problemas muito sérios e que se
desenvolve sempre de modo a surpreender o espectador. Este
filme foi selecção do Fantasia Festival e do Festival de São Paulo,
tendo sido Prémio do Júri no Edmonton Film Festival. Esta é
a primeira longa–metragem do realizador.
A woman who is abused by her ex–husband, is forced to take her
teenage son to a work interview in the mountains, which she must
do it, otherwise she will lose her job. The interview is to a man who
lives in isolation but has just won the lottery. Strangely enough, the
man does not want to be interviewed and refuses to receive the
money. A very intriguing story, written by the director himself,
which presents several serious issues is a way to constantly surprise
the audience. This film was selected for the Fantasia Festival
and the São Paulo Film Festival and received the Jury's Award at
the Edmonton Fest. This is Landry's first feature film.

Realizador canadiano do Quebec, com 13 prémios internacionais
e com larga carreira nos curtas–metragens, conhecido
pelas curtas–metragens "Sang Papier" (2017), Prémio do Júri
no Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre Festival e Melhor Filme no Salem
Independent Horror Film Festival. Realizou ainda "Première
Vague" (2021) e "Coche" (2021). "Jour de Merde" é a sua
primeira longa–metragem.

awards and a large career in short films. . he is known for his shorts
"Sang Papier" (2017), Jury's Award at the Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre
Festival and best film at the Salem Independent Horror Film
Festival. He also directed "Première Vague" (2021) and "Coche"
(2021). "Jour de Merde" is his first feature.

Manga dos anos 80, escrita e ilustrada por Mineo Maya, teve
uma primeira adaptação ao cinema em 2019 por Hideki
Takeuchi, com grande aclamação crítica e nomeado para
a Academia de Cinema Japonesa e premiado pela realização.
O resultado do box–office foi o maior no Japão. Obteve
ainda prémios em vários festivais. O filme apresentado
no Fantasporto é uma sequela do mesmo realizador. Passa–se
tudo num Japão fictício onde as pessoas são discriminadas em
função do seu local de nascimento e residência. A província
de Saitama é particularmente desprezada pela população
de Tóquio.
Manga of the eighties, written and illustrated by Mineo Maya,
it had a first version on film in 2019 by Hideki Takeuchi, to great
acclaim and nominations for the Japanese Film Academy, winning
some awards there. The box–office translated this success, with the
film having the best result that year. It also had several awards in
other film festivals. The film screened in Fantasporto is a sequel
of 2023, made by the same director. All happens in a fictional
Japan where people are discriminated based on their birthplace
and residence.
HIDEKI TAKEUCHI
Realizador japonês nascido em 1966. É conhecido por "Fly Me
to Saitama" (2019), vencedor do Prémio de Público do Festival
de Udine em Itália e do Prémio de Realização da Academia
de Cinema Japonesa. Realizou ainda "Thermae Romae" (2012)
e "Nodame Cantabile" (2006).
Japanese director, he was born in 1966. He is known for "Fly Me to
Saitama" (2019), the winner of the Audience Award in the
Udine Festival in Italy and Best Director in the Awards of the
Japanese Academy, "Thermae Romae" (2012) and "Nodame
Cantabile" (2006).
