A rocker and ex–guarda na fronteira entre a União Soviética
e a China, depois de ter sido atacado, decide ir para um
mosteiro ortodoxo onde os monges misturam religião e Kung
Fu. Num delírio visual que mistura também heavy metal e uma
Madonna que chora, o rocker procura ser aceite pelos monges.
A primeira lição que recebe é de humildade. Vindo do realizador
de "November" que recebeu 24 prémios internacionais
e exibido no Fantasporto 2018 onde recebeu o Prémio
Especial do Júri e o de Melhor Fotografia. Este filme faz parte
da selecção dos Festivais de Sitges, Locarno e Varsóvia.
A rocker and ex–guard in the border between the Soviet Union
and China, after being attacked, decides to go to an orthodox
monastery to become a monk. But this is no ordinary place as the
monks blend religion with Kung Fu. In a visual delirium which also
mixes heavy metal and a weeping Madonna, the rocker just wants
to be accepted. His first lesson is humility. Coming from the
director of the multi–awarded feature "November", presented in
Fantasporto 2018 and granted the Special Award of the Jury
and Best Cinematography. Selection of the Sitges, Locarno
and Warsaw film Festivals.

Realizador e argumentista estoniano, conhecido por
"November" (2017), premiado no Fantasporto 2018 e já com
24 prémios internacionais. Seguiu–se a série TV "The Bank"
(2018) e "Vaino Vahingu Paevaraamat" (2021).
Director and writer from Estonia, known for "November" (2017),
awarded in Fantasporto 2018 and already grantes 24 international
prizes. It was followed by the TV series "The Bank" (2018)
and "Vaino Vahingu Paevaraamat" (2021).

When an old school is demolished, the body of a long dead man is
found. The world of a cop and of a woman who struggles in the
present to get the best for her daughter are entangled by a long–
forgotten episode in the past that hides a mystery. A story
of friendship about abandoned children with a great performance by
actress Tao Xinran. A Drama that unites characters in a tale
of humanity and redemption. Selection of the Shanghai Film Festival.

Realizador chinês de "The Taste of the Betel Nut", apresentado
no Festival de Berlim. Anteriormente usava o nome de Hu Jia.
"Within" (2023) teve estreia nacional no festival de Shanghai.
Chinese director of "The Taste of the Betel Nut", presented in the
Berlin Film Festival, who formerly used the name of Hu Jia.
"Within" had its premiere at the Shanghai Film Festival.
