Rules and Regulations<br />
1. Spaces are 10’x15’ and outlined, you must stay within these boundaries. You must use designated<br />
loading zone areas. Space rental includes three tables (8’x2.5’) and two metal folding chairs. You<br />
may bring extra tables to use within your space. There are no discounts for multiple booths.<br />
2. The <strong>Flea</strong> & Farmers Market will operate from 8am-2pm Tuesday & Wednesday October 1, 2013<br />
through April 9, 2014. (*Market hours will be 8am-3pm on October 1). Setup will begin at 7:30am.<br />
The market will be closed the week of Nov 5-6, Dec 24-25, Dec 31-Jan 1, and Mar 4-5.<br />
3. Costs: Weekly: 1 Day - $15, 2 Days - $20<br />
*Monthly: (Oct, Mar/Apr) 1 Day - $60, 2 Days - $80<br />
(Jan, Feb) 1 Day - $45, 2 Days - $60<br />
(Nov, Dec) 1 Day - $30, 2 Days - $40<br />
*Seasonal: (24 weeks) 1 Day - $240, 2 Days - $320<br />
5. During scheduled Saturday dates, space rental is $25. The Market will operate from 8am-3pm.<br />
Setup will begin at 7:00am. Register and pay for all five weekend dates in advance and the cost is<br />
$100.<br />
6. Spaces may be reserved by e-mailing aleldr@kalcounty.com, calling in advance at (269) 383-<br />
8761, or filling out the online reservation form. You must take possession by 8:30am or your<br />
reservation will be removed and your booth given to anyone on the waiting list. WEEKDAYS:<br />
Payment is due the morning of the market by 11am. WEEKENDS: Payment is due in advance at<br />
the time of reservation.<br />
7. Cancellations: WEEKDAYS: Cancellations will be accepted the day until 4pm. Future spaces will<br />
not be reserved for spots cancelled after that. WEEKENDS: Cancellations will be accepted up until<br />
the Wednesday preceding the event. No refunds will be given for cancellations made after that.<br />
8. Signage and advertising will be handled by Expo Center staff. If you would like additional flyers<br />
(print or electronic) to distribute, we will provide them to you.<br />
9. Sale of food items is limited to agricultural products, processed foods, baked goods and fresh<br />
meats/eggs; and must comply with all Federal, State and local regulations. A copy of your license<br />
(if required) should be kept at your booth at all times.<br />
10. Sale of firearms, ammunition, explosives, and/or alcoholic beverages is prohibited. The Expo<br />
Center staff reserves the right to remove any other inappropriate items from sale at our sole<br />
discretion.<br />
11. No pets or live animals are permitted in the market with the exception of tagged service dogs.<br />
12. Concessions will be provided by the Expo Center.<br />
13. Booths must remain setup the entire time. Vendors are not permitted to pack up early.<br />
14. All items not sold must be taken by the sellers at tear-down which is 1 hour following closing time.<br />
Two day renters will be permitted to leave items overnight on Tuesday at their own risk. Expo<br />
Center staff will lock and secure the room at 2pm and close the outside gates at 5pm or after any<br />
other event that will be going on.<br />
15. During inclement weather the Market will be closed if Kalamazoo County Government is closed.<br />
