deneyimleri ve gözlemlerinden ortaya
çıkan yapıtlar, “konfor alanına” dair farklı
ve çeşitli perspektifleri ortaya koyuyor.
Çünkü bir yanda sürekli konfor alanının
yaratıcılığı öldürdüğü vurgulanır, ama öte
yandan bunun bazen ne kadar yorucu
olduğu da ayrı bir ironidir.
Sergi öncelikle izleyicisini “Comfort
Zone” (konfor alanı) haritasıyla karşılıyor.
Harita metaforu bu konuda oldukça
önemli, çünkü bilgiye ulaşmak için bireyin
kendi-coğrafi alanının dışına çıkması
gerekir. Size Platon’un Phaedrus’undan
bir tespiti aktarmama izin verin: Platon,
Sokrates’in erken dönem bir gezgin-filozof
olduğunu belirtir ve onun Phaedrus’la
diyaloga girmek için Atina şehir
surlarının dışına çıktığını anlatır. Yani bir
fikir tartışmasının, bir diyalogun gerçekleşmesi
için kent surlarının dışına çıkmak,

era traveler-philosopher and states that he
traveled outside the city walls of Athens to
have a conversation with Phaedrus. This
means it is necessary to go out of the city
walls hence one’s comfort zone in order
to have a conversation, a debate. This act
also appears as a background in Vergilius,
Theokritos, Horatius, and Homer: Breaking
out of conforism is a dynamic action.
But could this action also cause a wrong
decision? We can easily answer this, YES.
