The research aims to study the elements and decorative motifs in traditional costumes in the
kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to design, make integration and employment for those
elements for the theory of Guilford in hyperlinked thinking by using the computer, and then
implemented as gifts offered to the official delegates.
The study follows the descriptive approach and procedural style.
The most important results as follows:
The research revealed the importance of traditional clothing heritage (animal and plant
decorative motifs, geometric motifs, motifs and symbols written) which have been
adapted in proportion to the design.
The Research show creative basic designs, then making new designs from basic designs
with fluency in the theory of Guilford using computer software
Decorative ornaments have been recruited into gifts that reflect the personality of the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Statistical analysis for the opinions and views of arbitrators
showed high levels of convenience for all designs. The second design "logo" have
achieved the highest scores, while the first design "carpet" achieved the lowest
compared to other designs.
The most important recommendations as follows:
To get benefit from the heritage researches and to set up an electronic library supported
with documented heritage shapes at country level throughout the regions, to benefit the
students and researchers with rich knowledge which enable new learners to study from
where the formers has ceased.
Organizations and agencies that are concerned with culture, heritage and crafts should
collaborate with the universities to arrange officially annual competition for designing
official delegates gifts, to decide and choose the best design. The foundation of
creativity is the divergent or hyperlinked thinking, with three key elements: flexibility,
originality and fluency.
To get benefit from the currently available projects in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia
such as "Made in Mecca" project.
