THE ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE DEVELOPMENTSummaryThe intensive development of information systems and information technologies (IS/IT) caused and speeded upsignificant changes in organizational culture in all business sectors, and even broader. These changes are verypronounced in companies at the beginning of their “journey” to Business Excellence. Companies decided todevelop such an organizational culture capable to satisfy completely and visibly all requirements andexpectations of all stakeholders: i.e. customers, suppliers, shareholders, employees and society. In most casesthey create such a culture by implementing: leadership, declaring winning philosophy and objectives, continuingadaptation of the organizational structure to the permanently changing business environment, creating suitableworking conditions, as well as more direct management of employees and their behavior. Total employees’participation in relevant processes of continual improvements is crucial for success. The employees must beempowered, motivated and aligned towards realization of short and long-term objectives declared bycompany/corporation.Key words: quality, organizational culture, leadership, competence development, and motivation6.
