<strong>2007</strong> Census of Population Explanatory NoteNational Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) as Chairperson, andSecretaries from other Departments as Members with the Administrator of theNSO as Executive Officer of the Board.In the field, the NSO <strong>Region</strong>al Director (RD) was the Executive Officer ofthe <strong>Region</strong>al Census Coordinating Board (RCCB). He/She was responsible forthe coordination, monitoring, and supervision of operations in all provinces withinthe region. The RCCB was chaired by the <strong>Region</strong>al Director of the NEDA. The<strong>Region</strong>al Director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)served as the Vice Chairperson. The members were the heads of the followingregional offices: <strong>Region</strong>al Development Council, National Statistical CoordinationBoard, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Agriculture, Department ofEducation (DepEd), Department of Environment and Natural Resources,Department of Finance, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Justice,Department of Labor and Employment, Department of National Defense,Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Social Welfare andDevelopment, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Transportationand Communications, Department of Tourism, Department of Science andTechnology, Department of Health, Commission on Population, NationalCommission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), and Office of Muslim Affairs.At the local government level, Provincial Census Coordinating Boards(PCCB) and City/Municipal Census Coordinating Boards (C/MCCB) were created.The Provincial Governor was the Chairperson of the PCCB and the DivisionSuperintendent of Schools, the Vice Chairperson. The District Highway Engineer,Provincial Commander (PNP), Provincial Planning and Development Officer,Provincial Assessor, Provincial Agriculturist, Provincial Population Officer,Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer, Provincial Social Welfareand Development Officer, Provincial Information Officer, NCIP DevelopmentManagement Officer V, and three representatives from the private sector servedas members. The Provincial Statistics Officer was the Executive Officer. He/Shewas also responsible for the field operations in the province.The C/MCCB was composed of the City/Municipal Mayor and co-chaired bythe City Superintendent/District Supervisor of Schools by the DepEd. Themembers were composed of the following: The Station Commanders,City/Municipal Planning and Development Officer, City/Municipal PopulationOfficer, City/Municipal Civil Registrar, City Assessor (CCCB), MunicipalAgriculturist (MCCB), and a representative from the private sector.
