vibhūsitaṅgo janatāhi tāhi so<br />
purakkhato bhūsanabhūsitatrajaṁ<br />
tam-ādayitvātulavappamaṅgalaṁ<br />
surindalīlāya gato narissaro [130]<br />
So vibhūsita-aṅgo tāhi janatāhi purakkhato, taṁ bhūsana-bhūsita-atra-jaṁ ādayitvā,<br />
Nara-Issaro Sura-Inda-līlāya Atula-Vappa-Maṅgalaṁ gato.<br />
With his body adorned, at <strong>the</strong> head <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> people, having taken his son, who was<br />
adorned with (many) adorments, like (Sakka) <strong>the</strong> Lord <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Suras at play that<br />
Master <strong>of</strong> Men, went to that Incomparable Ploughing Festival.<br />
nānāvirāgujjalacārusāṇi<br />
parikkhitekamhi ca jambumūle<br />
sayāpayitvā bahimaṅgalaṁ taṁ<br />
udikkhituṁ dhātigaṇā gamiṁsu [131]<br />
Nānā-virāga-ujjala-cāru-sāṇi parikkhita-ekamhi Jambu-mūle ca taṁ sayāpayitvā,<br />
dhāti-gaṇā maṅgalaṁ udikkhituṁ bahi gamiṁsu.<br />
Having laid him at <strong>the</strong> root <strong>of</strong> a certain Rose Apple (tree), which was surrounded<br />
with a variegated, glorious, and charming screen, <strong>the</strong> nurses went outside to watch<br />
<strong>the</strong> festival.<br />
suvaṇṇatārādi virājamānā<br />
vitānajotujjalajambumūle<br />
nisajja dhīro sayane manuññe<br />
jhānaṁ samāpajji katāvakāso [132]<br />
Suvaṇṇa-tāra-ādi virājamānā vitāna-joti-ujjala-Jambu-mūle manuññe sayane nisajja,<br />
kata-avakāso Dhīro jhānaṁ samāpajji.<br />
While sitting on that pleasant couch at <strong>the</strong> root <strong>of</strong> that light, glorious, canopied Rose<br />
Apple (tree), which was resplendent with golden stars and so on, taking <strong>the</strong><br />
opportunity, <strong>the</strong> Hero attained absorption.
