achieve academic success, a teacher must realize the importance of working with both the student and the parents.
Review the following British PSA (Public Service Announcement) on the importance of schools reaching out to parent
via technology: Developing Partnerships with Parents Think about how a twenty-first century teacher will use technology
to reach out to parents. How can teachers extend the learning in the classroom to the home using technology? What
technology tools could be used in future classrooms? Guided Response: Read what your classmates have presented
and challenge them to think bigger. Recommend some other tools or extensions to their activities/lessons or
home-school communication plans. Explore and investigate other innovations from current teachers, websites, or
educational technology articles/journals. Be innovative; consider the impossible. Respond to someone who has not
received feedback, and continue the conversation with others whom you wish to inspire or connect with.
