Your Friends Will Surprise You
When Janet Norris turned 70 last year, she decided she
didn’t need any more stuff so she suggested to her friends
that they donate to TSA or TSCNZ instead of giving presents.
Her friends did indeed surprise her – the donations rolled in
from England, New Zealand and Australia with the final tally
being $NZ950 to TSCNZ and $A890 to TSA.
“Before Liam’s diagnosis in 2008 we had never heard of tuberous
sclerosis, but quickly became aware of the work of TSA in
supporting families. We have seen the progress of early diagnosis
and the success of topical rapamycin. I’m delighted that my friends
contributed to TSA and TSCNZ” said Janet.

Steve’s celebration inspired by Koby
Steve Mason, whose grandson Koby has tuberous sclerosis,
had a milestone birthday recently. By asking his party
guests to make a donation in lieu of presents, Steve was able
to make a large donation to help other families living with
TSC. Thanks Steve, and happy birthday!

Remembering Bevyn
Thank you to the friends and family of Bevyn
Schmidt for honouring him with donations to
Tuberous Sclerosis Australia at his funeral recently.
Bevyn’s grandson Justin has tuberous sclerosis.
