THERMOPLASTIC SERIES
The NTN Thermoplastic Series offers comparable
performance to our Stainless Steel Series, but with
added focus on protection from mold, bacteria, and
chemical cleaning agents. Non-textured surfaces prevent
contaminant build-up, while the lightweight thermoplastic
composition allows for ease of installation on food
processing equipment. Additional key features
and benefits:
• Stainless steel reinforced bolt holes prevent damage
to the thermoplastic base when securing bolts to the
mounting frame.
• Thermoplastic housings are available in either stainless
steel or zinc coated insert styles, giving you the freedom
to customize a solution tailored to the degree of
corrosiveness in your application.
• Protective end caps feature a snap-fit design that
prevents displacement during high-pressure washdown
cycles, especially in dairy and meat processing
applications.
ULTRA-CLASS SERIES
This mounted-unit line is perfect for dry-good environments
or food processing applications that don’t require assembly
line washdown. Featuring NTN’s exclusive ball-point,
set-screw design, the Ultra-Class black-oxide-plated
insert provides 120° screw orientation, enabling superior
alignment and centering when compared to typical 90°
configurations.
• Combined elastomeric seal and flinger design creates a
fan-like mechanism that effectively keeps particles away
from the inner ball bearing and raceways.
• Semi-retractable, ball-point mechanism enables
excellent tightening torque characteristics without
damaging the shaft-mounting surface.
