Tell us a little about yourself.
“I consider myself to be a caring person, I love my
family, my dream for my senior class project when I
make it to 12 grade is to make up backpacks of food,
food coupons, a $5, socks, etc and pass them out to the
homeless, my mom & I are supposed to be going on a
missionary trip to Haitis to help build a school in March
2017 our church is help to pay for us to go, we are
going to also try to collect school supplies for the trip,
I dislike bullies/bullying and will take up for others
being bullied even if I don’t know them, if my modeling
career doesn’t take off my future career I’d like to be
a social worker for children of abuse or to work with
mentally handicapped, the elderly or disabled to help
build up their confidence, help them with their every
day living needs and more.”
What made you decide to start modeling?
“When I was getting bullied at school, my mom and dad
posted pictures on Facebook and I had an offer from a
modeling agency but they were in Harrisburg, so from
there I always had a passion for it. My mom also inspired
me to model because she modeled in her 20s.”
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
“In 5 years I see myself traveling the world”
What/Who inspires you?
“My mom because she was a teenage mother and wife
at 16yrs old and by 19 she had 3 children. My biological
father whom I don’t even really know, was never there
to help her support us. My mom met my dad, Jason
when i was just a little over 1yr old and he is the best
father a girl could ask for.”
What is your favorite quote?
“My favorite quote is, ‘Every one wants to live on top of
the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs
while you’re climbing it.’”
If you were a fictional character,
who would you be?
“I would be Alice from Alice In Wonderland because I’d
love to have that kind of adventure.”
If you won 10 million dollars, what would
you do with it?
“Give 5 million to charity and 5 million to split up with
my family.”
Any advice for other women?
“Just be your beautiful self, dont let haters/bullies
put you down, everyone is beautiful in their own way.
Never judge others, you never know why they look the
way they do, act the way they do, etc, this world needs
more love and peace not hate and bashing.”

People all over trying to break into the
entertainment industry are familiar
with the grueling audition process. It
is an inescapable beast that for some,
can bring on such crippling anxiety it
can sabotage their chances at landing
the job at hand. Unfortunately, the
nerves never go away and unless you’re
established enough to be sought out, it
is an essential part of the industry.
I have been through a wide range
of auditions throughout my life.
Everything from solo’s in choir, dance
auditions (NBA, NFL, and NHL) to
commercial and film auditions. I wish
I could say I’ve mastered my emotions
and no longer have those familiar
feelings of self-doubt but I can’t.
However, those feelings are a good
sign. It’s indicative of how important
something is to you.
Over the course of going through many
auditions, good and bad, I have come
up with several tips that have seemed to
help me immensely during the process.
I am speaking from experience in
auditions as an entertainer however,
I feel that these tips can be applicable
to sports tryouts, job interviews and
other such opportunities that could
bring on nervousness or anxiety.

1. Preparation
One of the main advantages of going into
an audition fully prepared is allowing
yourself to let it go once it’s over. Half the
battle of any audition is beating yourself
up thinking you could have done better.
However, if you did everything you
could and gave your best effort, you’re
less likely to linger in a state of negative
reflection.
2. Practice
No matter what it is you’re going for you
need to practice daily! Record yourself,
critique yourself, adjust and do it again!
There is no such thing as too much
practice. Not if it’s something you have a
real passion for.
3. Be Professional
Remain respectful and professional
even if those around you do not. Not to
mention this type of behavior will get
you further while networking. People
will always remember your actions.
4. Arrive Early
Showing up earlier will not only make
you look good but it will allow you time
to settle down, breathe and deal with any
last minute anxiety you may have. It’s
easier to center yourself when you aren’t
in a rush.
5. Self-care
Good health and personal hygiene will
always play major roles in your ability to
give your best performance. Sleep well,
eat well, workout and take time away from
whatever it is you do to regroup. This will
also help with feelings of burnout.
6. Reflect & Forget
Once it’s over, allow yourself a quick
reflection of what you might change in
the future and then leave it alone. You
need to forget about it. Continue training,
practicing, growing and submitting for
other opportunities but do not allow
yourself to obsess over any single audition.
If you get a callback or get booked it will
come as a pleasant surprise.

“I love traveling ,antiquing and painting . Also,
decorating and refinishing old furniture.”
If you could travel anywhere, where
would you go?
“I would love to travel to England some day.”
How would you describe your style?
“My style is totally sexy country girl!”

“I love Halloween! And I will be a Zombie this year. ”
Any advice for other models?
“My advice is to enjoy and have fun, and to challenge
yourself - never be scared to try new things.”

“My family, my kids, and friends inspire me. ”

“If you can dream it, you can achieve it.”
Any advice for other women?
“Take time to appreciate the smaller things that
make life beautiful. When I do, that time slows down.”
What makes you IT?
“At the end of the day, I’m a good woman. I’m not perfect
by any means, but my intentions are good, my heart is
pure, and I love and work hard with everything I do.”

“My hobbies include photography, riding four-wheelers,
going for walks with my husband, and shopping.”
What made you decide to start modeling?
“I always enjoyed getting my picture taken since I was a
little kid. We have a family friend who is a photographer,
and she always takes pictures of me. I saw how much fun
models had in making this magazine and I wanted to be a
part of the UR IT team!”
If you could go anywhere in the world where
would you go?
“I would go to Paris if I could go anywhere! I fell
in love with Paris items three years ago. My whole
room theme after I turned 16 was Eiffel tower
everything!”
What is your favorite quote?
“My favorite quote is actually lyrics from the band
twenty one pilots, “Stay Alive”.
Who is your biggest supporter?
“My biggest support would be my Husband, Andre
who is always pushing me to do my best! As well as my
family who love to help me and make sure I’m ok and
love to support my modeling!”
Any advice for other models?
“I haven’t been a model very long for the magazine,
but my advice would be to relax, have fun and don’t
stress too much about modeling. Everyone is always
new once and are not sure how to model, but you’re
able to pick it up quickly, I sometimes still get very
worried about if I’m doing it wrong.”
Any advice for other women?
“My advice for other women would be to not stress
to much over small things, keep negative people out
of your life, and do not associate with people who put
drama into your life. Keep your true friends close to
you that’s all you need!”

The event was held at the Casino at Lakemont in

“I am currently a senior at Steubenville High
School in Ohio.”
Who/What inspires you?
“I am inspired by Audrey Hepburn and have an
old soul. ”
How would you desribe your style?
“I’m drawn to vintage clothes and old Hollywood. ”
What are some of your hobbies?
“I love to draw, act, and sing and have a passion
for music and musical instruments. ”
Who is your biggest supporter?
“My mom is my biggest supporter and super hero!
”
Are you dressing up for Halloween?
What are you going to be?
“ For Halloween I plan on dressing up as a Vampire. ”
Do you have any adive for other women/models?
“You are your own competition, don’t set
limitations for yourself, rise above the chatter and
make your dreams come true!”

“Three years ago when I found this little white
dog, skinny, hungry and homeless in a
terrible neighborhood in Mansfield, OH, I never would
have imagined he would end up an actor, a model
and one of the greatest joys of my life.”
As busy as I am, I worried about
not having the time to properly
care for a pet, but God’s timing
is perfect and I couldn’t be more
grateful for Snowball.
Now he’s always been smart. So
smart, in fact, that I admit to never
taking the time when he was a
puppy to teach him all of the
usual commands.
It’s always seemed like we were
equals. He’s a super mature pup
and as goofy as it sounds, to
teach him to sit, stay and laydown
always seemed sort of demeaning
to him.
I soon realized how wrong I
was… and how much I wished
I would have taught him these
things far earlier.
As an actress (and an obsessed
dog parent), I started by taking
Snow along to commercial and
print shoots where I could.
His first real job was with PetSmart
when we shot a commercial
together in Michigan for their
new pop-up dog parks. I was a
mother with two adorable kids
and he was our playful puppy.
He’s had other gigs, but a few
months ago, he was discovered
by an agent who was looking
for a Shih-tzu for a major motion
picture filming in Louisville, KY.
We learned that he would only
have a handful of days to learn
how sit, stay, lay, speak, carry
toys, etc.
I actually took time off of
work to begin working
with him.
My boyfriend Logan
and I both attempted
to instruct him the first
night. After a few hours
with no results, we were
both frustrated and
discouraged.

I kept kicking myself for not working
with him on such tricks as a puppy
and worried that he would never be
able to learn them.
The next day I decided I would spend
the entire day, just me and him, and
work on his tricks.
I watched a million YouTube videos
and tried just about everything.
Teaching him to speak was what I
was worried most about.
Despite the myth that most small
dogs are “yappy,” Snowball has
always been a non-barker. He’ll give
the occasional bark when someone
comes to the door, but that pretty
much does it.
The casting director asked that I
train Snowball by way of clicker
training where he gets a click every
time he completes a trick – whether
intentional or not. He said eventually
the dog would learn that the clicker
sound meant he did something right.
“
Once
he gets the hang of the
clicker, he’ll be learning a trick a
day,” he told me.
I could hardly believe it but by
the end of the day, Snowball had
“speak” down.
Soon we were mastering all kinds of
tricks and he was even learning the
appropriate Hollywood hand signals
for each.
He LOVED learning and gets
excited every time I bring the
clicker out.
Snowball didn’t end up getting the
part but soon he was booking a large
commercial out in Seattle and the
film was long forgotten.
I couldn’t have been more excited
and nervous.
It would be Snowball’s first trip on
an airplane, his first time on the west
coast and his first time shooting a
commercial where I wasn’t an actress
in it with him.
I bought him a pet carrier for the
plane but couldn’t help feeling
apprehensive about the “all pets
must be kept under the seat in front
of you at all times” rule.
Luckily, Snowball has always had a
super calm demeanor and I was able
to hide him under my raincoat on my
lap the whole ride there and back.
His shoot in Seattle was a blast.
He actually played a little girl dog
named “Mitzy” and had to sit, lay,
bark, twirl and walk with a dog walker.
Few people actually knew I was
his mom which was pretty funny.
Everyone kept saying, “Can we get the
trainer and the stunt dog in here?”
When I looked out the window and
saw the director taking a selfie with
Snowball I knew we were golden!
One of the most challenging
moments was when they wanted
Snowball to be able to perform a
sequence of tricks when I couldn’t
be in front of him to direct the
commands.

I packed a ton of lunch meat, his
favorite reward, and luckily we were
able to get through it.
Couldn’t have been more proud.
There was an entire scene where I
couldn’t be with him, but watching
him on the monitor, I was so
impressed. Snowball followed the
actress just as he was supposed
instructed. He never cried or tried to
pull away.
That was probably when I got
hooked. That’s it, I thought. I want
to do this all the time.
Snowball was a natural.
We had to wake up super early the
next morning to fly home and the
wheels in my head were turning the
entire time.
His agent had e-mailed me to tell me
what great feedback she received
regarding Snowball and asked us to
keep practicing, and keep working
on new tricks.
No problem there.
As a budding actress, it’s
always been my dream to
have a starring role in a major
motion picture.
And to be perfectly frank, if the
first route there is by riding my
dog’s coattails, I’m doin’ it!

What makes you it?
“I like to think I am a very nice person who gives everybody
a chance to prove themselves. I am an approachable person
with a bubbly personality, and will be friendly to anybody.”
What is one thing you would change
about the world if you could?
“There are a lot of problems with our world today. One
thing I would change is that there would be no more stray
or abused animals. I have a soft spot for animals. If I
could, I would find every stray or abused animal out there
and take care of them, or find them a proper home.”
What is your favorite quote?
“When thinking about life remember this: no amount
of guilt can solve the past and no amount of anxiety can
change the future.”
What are some of your hobbies?
“I play the clarinet and have played for over 20 years now. I
also like to travel, go looking for different rocks and fossils,
and pretty much do anything outdoors. ”
What is something about you that
others wouldn’t guess?
“SThat I am a complete science geek. I went to school for
geology, so I developed an obsession with rocks, fossils, and
dinosaurs. I also have a love for outer space and anything
outdoors.”
What is your favorite thing about modeling?
“It is so much fun to see my face on social media and within
a magazine! Also I love getting my pictures back. All the
photographers involved do such amazing work.”
What do you hope to achieve through UR IT?
“I am hoping to raise cleft lip awareness and to give
inspiration to people who have this issue. I was born with
a cleft lip, and I have a very noticeable scar on my lip and
below my nose. A lot of people who have this issue have
low self esteem from it, however I embrace mine and I
hope to show others that they can as well. It is rare that
somebody with this issue enters the modeling world, but
if I can do it, so can they.”

“I am 25 years old, and originally from Philipsburg,
Pennsylvania. I graduated Penn State in 2015, and work
as a quality engineer for a technology company in State
College. I love animals and listening to music, mostly
heavy metal and hard rock!“
What makes you IT?
“Wow! That’s a big question. I don’t know that I really
would consider myself “IT”. I’m just “ME”. So, I suppose
what makes me IT is just staying true to myself, and
being confident in the choices I make. At the same time,
everyone can improve themselves, always! So, never stop
striving to become a better you. I think that’s what makes
me, and anyone IT !”
What made you decide to start modeling?
“It really started on a whim! My best friend and I
were hanging out one night, about 3 years back,
when we stumbled across a Facebook model contest.
My friend encouraged me to enter, and because the
contest involved writing (Why Should You Win), I
went ahead and entered. I was truly shocked when
I was chosen as the winner! From that point on, I
continued to work with this photographer to help
with some of my “hands on” college courses, then as
a hobby. The rest is history!”
What’s something you can’t live without?
“My girls (pets)! They are all, honestly, my best friends. And, of
course the rest of my amazing family and friends. As long as I
have them, I can do without anything else!”
How would you describe your style?
“Umm, maybe unique? Possibly cheap LOL! I don’t really have a
specific “style”, but I love to shop at thrift stores, and tend to like
some more old fashioned/ classic styles. My family always jokes
with me, “Cute sweater, did you go shopping at Nan’s closet again?”
HAHA! And, as most can probably tell, black is a very “go to” color
for me. It’s simple, classy, sexy, and versatile! Win, win, win, win!”
What is your favorite quote?
“Ooo! Another tough one for me, as I have a TON of quotes that I
love, and live my life by. But, if I had to pick just one, it would be: “I
never said to be like me, I say to be like you and make a difference.”

Impulse Buying:
Why Women Can’t Stop
Women have been accused of having an insatiable
shopping appetite, consequently impulse buying
at any given opportunity. While women seem
to be the culprits of this behavior most of the time, a study
showed that 90 percent of shoppers, including men, buy items
not on their shopping lists. However, as much as women find
solace in the fact that men also make unplanned purchases,
their impulse buying rates are significantly higher than men.
One is left wondering
why women still buy
unbudgeted items in
an era where we are
experiencing decreasing
income, increasing cost
of living and lower saving
power. Here are a few
reasons why businesses
will continue to cashin
on this seemingly
irresistible behavior.

Sample Sales
According to Kathryn Finney, author of
“How To Be a Budget Fashionista: The
Ultimate Guide to Looking Fabulous
for Less,” people just buy to own a label
and not for the quality. Sometimes,
what’s on sale is just over-stock, items
that buyers did not want, slow-selling
merchandise or irregulars. Despite this,
the attractive idea of a sale will drive
any woman to unnecessarily spend.
Buying While Intoxicated (BWI)
Even though not a prime reason for
impulse buying, women have been
reported to make unplanned purchases
when intoxicated. This is heightened
after a nasty break-up when women go
out clubbing and end up in malls doing
feel-good shopping.
Excitement
Holidays such as Christmas and
Thanksgiving exude a lot of excitement
and offers. The beauty of family, time
off work, and overwhelming discounts
and offers from retailers just wittily
manipulate women to buy on impulse.
Factually, over 50 percent of women
have made unbudgeted purchases
when excited. This is usually their
opportunity to appreciate themselves
or the people who make them happy.
Unfortunately, an empty wallet
and buyer regrets are some of the
consequences.
The Desire To Save
Ironically, women do spontaneous
shopping to save. Most of the time,
the fear of losing out on a deal that
would save them a few dollars later
drives them to buy on impulse.
Unfortunately for women, retailers
have capitalized on this aspect and in
the long run, in a bid to save, women
end up buying substandard items. As
written by Kathryn Finney, who we
cited earlier in this post, some items
on discount would only last a day,
beating the concept of saving.
Disillusioned Future
The fallacy that a usually useless item
will turn useful once bought clearly
shows the disillusioned future that
women see when shopping. Rather than
accepting that you can’t keep up with
five sit-ups a day to keep a flat tummy,
you suddenly think that buying the
newest ab toner will be your solution. If
you do not have commitment, you can
be sure that the toner will just add up to
the list of clutter in your home.
It is commendable that women do
not spend more than $25 compared to
$1,000 that men spend when buying
unbudgeted items, at least according to a
recent study. However, it is prudent that
women put in a lot more thought before
they spontaneously buy anything. That
way, they will experience less guilt when
they lack money for others uses.

“I’ve been modeling for almost 6 years now! When I
started out, I just thought it would be fun to have some
nice pictures for my family to have. But as I fell more and
more in love with the industry and the people, I realized I
had a true passion for what I was doing. After that, I started
building up my network, and now I get to do what I love.
I get to meet and work with some truly incredible people,
and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. It’s funny how life can
take you down turns you never expect!”

What makes you IT?
“I’d say it’s my ability to stay true to myself no matter
what! I never let other peoples opinions sway how I live
my life, and I never change myself for anyone! The only
person I want to be is a better version of myself.”
How did you get into modeling? How long have
you been modeling?
“I’ve been modeling since February of 2011, so almost
6 years now. I actually just did a shoot with my friend
for her high school photography class and a local
photographer scouted me from there. We actually
became incredibly close-in fact I still babysit his kids!
He’s the real reason I ever decided to try this path.
Crazy, I don’t think either of us could have guessed
how far I’d go with it!”
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
“Ideally? I’d love to be modeling in Europe, but I’d also
like to be back in college studying something I love! I still
haven’t decided what that is yet, but I know I want to have
the ability to pursue multiple dreams in my life.”
What are some of your hobbies?
“Aside from modeling? Haha! I love to dance, mostly ballet,
but I’ve been exploring other kinds recently. I also like to
hike, read, paint, camp, go horseback riding, swim in lakes,
pools, and oceans alike.. Anything that seems like a good
time, really!”
How do you stay up to date on fashion trends?“
“I don’t! I make my own fashion trends. I’d rather be my own
person than try to stay up to date with what some celebrity
is doing!”
What makes you unique?
“What doesn’t?! Hah. I’ve had crazy piercings since I was in
middle school, got my first tattoo at 17, started dreading my
hair at 20, and that’s just the surface! I’m different from any
person I’ve ever met in my entire life. I’ve never been one to
follow trends, and was usually the leader of the pack.”
If you won 10 million dollars, what
would you do with it?
“I would rescue ALL THE ANIMALS!!!”

“ Jamaica and Germany.”

“ Diverse. I wear a little bit of everything but
I definitely feel like I was born in the wrong
generation. I forever wish it was the 50s or the 70s.

“ Yes. I’m going as Tiffany, the bride of Chucky. ”
