Time with Abba Saturday 1. What does it mean to serve God? Do we only serve God in church? ________________________________________________________________ 2. The Bible teaches that the complete serving is 3 dimensional. If any dimension is missing, it is incomplete serving. Please read these verses and name each type of serving. i) 1 Sa 2:18, Matt 4:10, Luke 2:37, Rev 5:11-14 ______ _ __ ii) Acts 1:8, Matt 5: 13_________________ ________ iii) 1 Peter 4:10 ____________________________ 3. Have you ever imagined the relationship of your salvation and your serving? Please read Exodus 7:16, 8:1, 8:20, 9:1, 10:3. If a Christian doesn’t serve God, who is he/she serving? ________________________________________________________________ 4. Have you ever experienced this? You work hard to serve the Lord, but you were criticized or mocked by others and you were sad. What is the purpose of serving God? What did the Lord promise for His faithful servant (Matt 25: 21- 23, 1 Cor 15: 58)? ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ 1. When we talk about serving God, we immediately think about prophesying in the Lord’s name, driving out demons and performing many miracles in His name. It seems like that if we do those, we are serving God. In Matthew 7:22-23, some people prophesied in Jesus’ name, and in Jesus’ name, drove out demons and performed many miracles. But Jesus said, “I never knew you. Away from me.” Moreover, Jesus said, “ Away from me, you evildoers!“ Why did Jesus say that? Today, how can we assure that our serving is pleasing and glorifying God but not “evildoers”. Please read Matthew 7:21, Gal 1:10

Read Romans 12:1, John 21:15- 17. If Jesus asks you right now, “Do you truly love me more than these?”, how would you answer Him? ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________ Our offerings reflect a grateful heart that wants to give back to God a portion of what He has given us; in reality, what is already His. God never needs anything from us. But He wants what He has given us. Abraham understood God’s heart. So when God asked Abraham for his only son Isaac, he didn’t feel sad. Abraham willingly offered his only son, whom he loved, to God. Because of Abraham’s willingness to offer, he was greatly blessed by God. Brothers and Sisters, God wants our hearts. Our hearts should be touched by God’s grace and love. We should offer ourselves to God. May our hearts not to be hindered by any earthy things, which lead us to live an incomplete life. If our offering to God is incomplete, we will not receive what God has already prepared for us. Please pray and respond to God. Faith Pondering
