In the Compar<strong>in</strong>g Regions <strong>Discussion</strong>, you exam<strong>in</strong>ed how differences between regions exist and the implications to art<br />

created with<strong>in</strong> those regions, specific to the Baroque movement.<br />

Now, select two works, each from different regions with<strong>in</strong> the same time period and movement (other than the Baroque<br />

movement).<br />

Below are some examples of regions to explore with<strong>in</strong> a particular movement (choose two regions):<br />

a. Italy b. France c. Northern Europe d. Spa<strong>in</strong> e. United States Between the two works of art, what<br />

similarities and differences do you see <strong>in</strong> terms of the media (materials), methods, and subjects? Expla<strong>in</strong> how each work<br />

of art is reflective of the movement, yet unique to its region.<br />

Your <strong>in</strong>itial post must be at least 200 words <strong>in</strong> length.<br />

Review several of your classmates posts. By Day 7, respond to two classmates who exam<strong>in</strong>ed movements different<br />

than yours. In your responses, choose a work of art from a region that was not <strong>in</strong>cluded <strong>in</strong> the <strong>in</strong>itial post and discuss the<br />

similarities and differences between this work of art and that of those already identified <strong>in</strong> the orig<strong>in</strong>al post.<br />
