the role of play in the classroom. Choose one of the theorists mentioned in Chapter Eleven and provide a brief summary
of his perspective on play. How would this translate on a practical level in the early childhood classroom? Share a
teaching strategy, activty plan, or environmental model that reflects the philosophy of your chosen theorist in regard to
play.
Guided Response: Review several of your classmates posts and reflect on the posts of those who chose different
theorists from your own. Respond to at least two of your classmates and provide recommendations to extend their
thinking. Challenge them by asking a question that may cause them to reevaluate or add components to their teaching
strategy, lesson plan, or environmental model.
