Forbes Takedown of Stephen Glass, by Michael Noer Also, review the SPJ Code of <strong>Ethics</strong>. Our textbook states,<br />

Dishonestyin the form of falsification, plagiarism, <strong>and</strong> misrepresentationis the deadliest sin of the media professional.<br />

Reflect: Why do you think members of the news media <strong>and</strong> journalists are held to such high st<strong>and</strong>ards? Why is it<br />

important that reporters abide by ethical st<strong>and</strong>ards? Write: Write a 250- to 300-word response that argues for the<br />

necessity of ethical st<strong>and</strong>ards in journalism. Explain your view giving examples from the required reading. In your initial<br />

post, you must include at least one in-text citation from the reading material <strong>and</strong> an additional in-text citation from a<br />

scholarly source that you locate. At the end of your post, include your name <strong>and</strong> a full reference for all sources cited in<br />

the body of your post. All references must adhere to APA style guidelines as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.<br />
