<strong>4.2</strong>.1 <strong>Telephones</strong><br />

Occasional personal telephone calls using the Company’s telephone system<br />

may be made <strong>and</strong> received in essential situations subject to prior authorisation<br />

by an employee’s Manager.<br />

Occasional personal telephone calls <strong>and</strong> text messages using personal mobile<br />

telephones may be made <strong>and</strong> received in essential situations only. If<br />

employees are uncertain, they should ask their Manager.<br />

The use of mobile phones whilst operating machinery <strong>and</strong> vehicles is strictly<br />

prohibited <strong>and</strong> may result in disciplinary action.<br />

Business calls should only be received on business telephones. Personal<br />

telephone numbers should neither be used nor disclosed to Clients.<br />

<strong>4.2</strong>.2 Personal Media<br />

The use of Personal Media Devices, ie Personal Music Players, iPods or<br />

Personal DVD Players or mobile phones with such functionality, is prohibited<br />

by all employees other than during break times. If such devices are used during<br />

break times they should not distract any employee who is not on a break at<br />

that time.<br />

The use of personal televisions is prohibited by all employees on site at any<br />

time.
