Our urodynamic unit offers detailed diagnostic examination capabilities for problems associated with continence and urination. Urodynamic examinations and modern uroradiologic methods are employed for diagnosing and monitoring all kinds of incontinence problems including, for example, night wetting in children, incontinence disorders in women, as well as patients with myelodysplasia (spina bifida). ANDROLOGY Examination, diagnosis and treatment options for male erection and ejaculation problems referred to as erectile dysfunction, and male infertility are planned and executed in cooperation with other medical specialties. PEDIATRIC UROLOGY Pediatric urology deals with diagnosis and treatment of congenital or acquired urinary and genital system diseases which may be seen in the prenatal, newborn and subsequent stages. Examples to these conditions include hydroceles and cord cyst, undescended testicles, circumcision, emergency conditions of the testicles and scrotum (acute scrotum and testicular torsion). Surgical correction of hypospadias (a congenital condition in which the opening of the urethra is not located at the tip of the penis, and is located on the underside of penis) is one of the areas of specialty of our urology department. In addition to primary correction of hypospadias, cases which have been previously operated, but failed to yield successful results are also surgically treated.
