Dear All,<br />
I am writ<strong>in</strong>g for expressions of <strong>in</strong>terest from practitioners <strong>in</strong> <strong>Hywel</strong> <strong>Dda</strong> and Swansea Bay<br />
Health Boards, who would be <strong>in</strong>terested <strong>in</strong> provid<strong>in</strong>g support <strong>in</strong> medical ret<strong>in</strong>a cl<strong>in</strong>ics<br />
located at Amman Valley Hospital.<br />
As you will be aware, the health board is look<strong>in</strong>g with some pace, at optometrists provid<strong>in</strong>g<br />
support for essential eye care services. This is an excellent opportunity to further our<br />
knowledge and skills with regards to medical ret<strong>in</strong>a (prof cert medical ret<strong>in</strong>a preferred but<br />
not essential)<br />
The health board is seek<strong>in</strong>g to further understand the workforce which is available to help,<br />
both <strong>in</strong> the immediate term and post Covid. Full tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g of management of patients would<br />
be provided, up to <strong>in</strong> some cases, optometrist <strong>in</strong>jectors. If you would potentially be<br />
<strong>in</strong>terested could you please address the follow<strong>in</strong>g questions and email me as soon as<br />
possible.<br />
1. How many days a week support would you be able to provide?<br />
2. On what days would you be able to provide support<br />
3. Would this level of support be possible post covid? If not, what could you offer post Covid?<br />
4. Could you provide a brief statement of additional useful <strong>in</strong>formation?<br />
