ON THE OCCASION OF THE OFFICIAL OPENING OF MEDHIVISISTA BUILDING – 20 JULY <strong>2023</strong> Your Royal Highness, I, Kelvin Koh, Chairman of the SISB School Governing Board, together with our distinguished guests, staff, parents and students, would like to express our appreciation to Your Royal Highness for honouring us with your presence. SISB has had the privilege of welcoming Your Royal Highness on two occasions. In June 2012 for the Grand Opening of SISB Pracha Uthit; and in July 2018 for the Opening Ceremony of Silpapirom Creative Arts and Media Centre, a name that was bestowed by Your Royal Highness. Today, we are delighted to have Your Royal Highness here with us again for the Opening Ceremony of Medhivisista Building, a state-of-the-art academic compound at SISB Thonburi. We are honoured to have the name of Medhivisista bestowed by Her Royal Highness, which means “Scholars with a spirit of excellence”. SISB Thonburi started in 2017, the fourth SISB school in Thailand. The opening of SISB schools in different locations is in line with our vision to be the leading education provider, making quality education accessible to all. To cater to the strong support from our community, a modern academic building was added in August 2021. This new phase has modern facilities such as a performance-standard auditorium, full-fledged gymnasium, classrooms and science laboratories. There is a great emphasis on nature, and allowing students to connect with their natural environment. This combination of nature and nurture allows SISB to maximise the potential of every student. Our school community has donated to Your Royal Highness’s “Fund for the Development of Children and Youth in Remote Area” project, in gratitude for the support of Your Royal Highness. We look forward to providing holistic education to even more students in the years to come, and develop them to become scholars, leaders and global citizens. On today’s auspicious occasion, we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Your Royal Highness for honouring us with your visit, and for presiding over this ceremony. DRAFT
