More Than 400 Items For sale Prior to Event<br />
PALM SPRINGS – <strong>May</strong> 1, <strong>2013</strong>: Evening Under the Stars,<br />
the 20th annual gala to be held on <strong>May</strong> 11, <strong>2013</strong> to benefit<br />
AIDS Assistance Program (AAP) and featuring a ‘must see’<br />
performance by Cyndi Lauper, has listed the silent and live<br />
auction items for the benefit on “In anticipation of the big event, all<br />
of our silent and live auction items have been posted on our web<br />
site,” explains Executive Director, Mark Anton. “Gala guests, and<br />
supporters who are unable to attend, are invited to peruse the list<br />
in advance in case there is something they must have (and don't<br />
want to risk the chance of someone else getting).”<br />
Most items have a 'buy it now' option. There is an astounding<br />
assortment of items available, from travel and entertainment, to<br />
art<br />
and collectibles, and a few rare opportunities with celebrities<br />
such as Diahann Carroll and 'Evening Under the Stars' is the<br />
cornerstone of AIDS Assistance Program's annual fundraising<br />
efforts, generating a major portion of the operating budget for its<br />
Food Voucher Program, which serves approximately 500 lowincome<br />
men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS here in the<br />
Coachella Valley.<br />
Tickets for the gala, which includes cocktails, dinner and dancing<br />
at the O’Donnell Golf Club in Palm Springs, are still available at<br />
$395 and $500 per person and can be purchased by contacting<br />
