Disconnectvacuum hose. Becord ignition advance. Re_<br />

connect hose and check that advance allers.<br />

lf not, check for vacuurn at control unil {check suction at<br />

lf vacuum, but no advance, replace control unit<br />

Check dwell angle<br />

Read off dwell angle at idle.<br />

Increase engine rpm and check that dwell angLe increases.<br />

if no increase is recorded, replace control I'nit,<br />

Refrl disrributor cap and reconneLr co.lreclor.<br />

- HT leads from distributor cap<br />

Tu.n crankshaft until rotor points towards rubber<br />

Disconnect connector.<br />

Remove distributor.<br />

Install distributor<br />

Tubularpinprotrudesmoreononesidethanlheother.<br />

Turn shaft until pin is opposite groove in distribLrto.<br />

Fit:<br />

distributor cap and reconnect HT leads.<br />

Reconnect connector.<br />

Checvadjust basic isnition timing. See operation M4.<br />
